I was born in Vienna, Austria, in 1978. After a series of music projects I received my first film education at the New York University in the summer of 1996, followed by a number of independent projects - mainly short films - as a cameraman.
In autumn 1997 I enrolled to the Master Program of Business Management at the University of Vienna and the University Sorbonne in Paris, France, from which I graduated with the academic title "Master of Business Sciences" in the summer of 2002. Parallel to my studies I continued working as a freelance cameraman on fiction short films, extreme sports films, documentaries and music videos in Europe and the US.
In the summer of 1999 I joined the 35mm Cinematography Class at the University of Southern California, followed by a series of music videos in and around Los Angeles.
In January 2003 I enrolled to the 2 year Cinematography Master Program at the National Film and Television School in London. During that time I lit and shot numerous short films in different areas of film & television. I graduated in December 2004 earning the title "Master of Arts Film and Television", and relocated back to Austria soon after.
Since my return to Austria in December 2004 I have been working internationally as a feeelance cameraman and director. Projects include numerous extreme sports films (ski & snowboard) for clients such as ski manufacturer VÖLKL and international TV (Eurosport), music videos for Carouge, Cinderella, Sorgente and "Tanzwerk Wels", documentaries for national and international TV (ORF, ARTE, 3Sat) and Red Bull ("Kirby Chambliss Portrait") as well as commercials for cinema and tv.
In still photography my specialisation lies in product/advertising and sports, mainly tennis (international tournaments on the ATP and WTA tour as well as work for the Austrian Tennis Association "ÖTV" on the Fed and Davis Cup events of the Austrian Team).
